Baby Shower for Daniel

On Wednesday 18th March 2026, we celebrated a wonderful baby shower for our Home Manager Daniel and his wife Csilla. It was a joyful occasion filled with laughter, games, and great company. In true Yew Tree style, we couldn’t resist dressing up Daniel—along with Deputy Cosmin and Maintenance Johnnie—adding even more fun to the day!

Thank you to everyone for being such great sports and making the celebration so memorable.

We would like to wish the Bitu family all the very best as they await the safe arrival of baby Eric.

Red Nose Day 20th March 2026

Thank you to all our staff for dressing up today as part of our Princesses and Princes theme for Red Nose Day. Another thank you to everyone who donated; we raised £96 from our raffle and a huge congratulations goes to our lovely resident Warren who won our Easter Egg hamper!! 🤩👑

As the theme was Prince and Princess we thought we’d give some of the photos a Disney theme.

Wildlife Watch

We’re very fortunate that, due to the location of our home, we are visited by a wide variety of wildlife. As you may have seen in the latest gazette, we have been trying to help a fox we’ve affectionately named Frank, who had been looking very poorly.
We were able to contact a wildlife rescue organisation who kindly provided a trap and medication to help him. Unfortunately, Frank has not been seen since Friday. We will continue to monitor the cameras and keep watch for his return. As soon as he begins eating again, we will be able to administer the medication to help him recover.
Of course, we are quietly hoping that Frank might actually be a Francesca, and that her absence could be due to spending time with her cubs. If that is the case, we hope they are all safe and well. In the meantime, please do keep sending positive thoughts for their safe return and recovery.
While Frank has been a little evasive, our cameras have still been busy! Recently we’ve spotted Bambi the deer, Bob the badger, Rodney the robin, and Peanut the squirrel making their regular visits.
We will continue to keep an eye on the cameras and share updates as our wildlife visitors make their appearances.
Below are a couple of videos from the wildlife cameras.

Competition Winner

Our lucky winner Mollie had an absolutely fantastic time enjoying a delicious meal at The Dog Pub in Harvington, her very first trip out in our new accessible vehicle. She was joined by resident Derek, Home Manager Daniel, and Deputy Manager Cosmin, and the whole group had a brilliant time together. Mollie is already buzzing with excitement for the next outing.

November 2025 Gazette

We’re fast approaching our busiest and most joyful time of the year, with our activities diary filling up with lots of exciting events for everyone to enjoy!

You are warmly invited to join us for our Annual Family Christmas Meal on Tuesday, 2nd December at 12:30pm. This special event is always very popular, so we kindly ask that you book your place with the office as soon as possible to secure your spot.

Everyone is welcome residents, family, and friends alike. If any residents are unable to join us in the dining room, we will be delighted to arrange a more intimate meal setting in their bedrooms so that everyone can share in the festive spirit.

We look forward to celebrating this wonderful occasion together!
