Facilities
Yew Tree Nursing Home enjoys a range of facilities aimed at making the life of its residents as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and taking full advantage of the location of the home – nestled in the picturesque countryside of the Clent Hills.
There is also a secluded and enclosed ornamental patio area which is accessible to all residents at any time and enabling the residents to grow herbs and vegetables and take part in gardening activities as part of their daily living. Alternatively they can just relax in one of the many seating areas and enjoy the fresh air and peaceful location of the home with only the sound of the wind chimes, the water feature and occasionally the ducks or ponies saying hello to break the ambiance.
There are two lounges and one cafe to choose from each with its own unique personality. The front lounge is located within our specialised dementia unit which has recently undergone a full refurbishment to enable each resident to engage in meaningful occupation as part of their daily life.
The garden lounge is the largest lounge in the home with a bright and airy feel with views and accessibility for all residents to the outside sun terrace. The room has an attractive dining area with ample seating and refreshments are available at all times for residents and their families.
We have a cafe lounge which provide the resident with a more private, intimate and relaxing environment ideal for family visits and special occasions. The cafe lounge is located next to the nurses office on the ground floor and the interior design has a garden feel which gives a more tranquil and calm feeling.
