February 2018 Newsletter

March 2018 Newsletter

Welcome to the slightly late February early March Yew Tree newsletter.  With March fast approaching and the smell of spring is in the air you may have noticed works have commenced in the garden. We have moved one of the decking areas onto the main lawn this was due to a problem with bees last summer in the original location so we are hoping that with the relocation this will stop them returning this year……..

November 2016 Newsletter

November 2016 Newsletter

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far to our collection. The response has been huge and we couldn’t thank you all enough.

We feel that we have plenty of clothes now so we would request that no more clothing donations are made. However we are short of non perishable food items, toiletries and hats/gloves and scarves. If you could please provide any of these items we would appreciate it  very much. We have decided that we will be taking the items to the homeless shelter week commencing 5th December so we would ask that all donations are received prior to this date…………

October 2016 Newsletter

October Newsletter 2016

In the coming weeks our thoughts are going to start turning to Christmas and the forthcoming family events planned and with the added excitement of children and grand children getting a visit off a certain jolly man in a red suit. For some people this is a sad time as they have no home or family to speak of and the time will pass like any other day in the cold with no food, shelter or clean clothes. It’s with this thought on our minds we have decided to start a collection in the lead up to Christmas for the men, women and children, homeless  at this time of year. All items will be dropped at our local homeless shelter in the weeks just before Christmas.  (a date will be confirmed nearer the time).

Examples of items we are trying to collect are non perishable food items, toiletries, warm clothing i.e. hats, scarves, gloves, socks, underwear etc, sleeping bags, rucksacks and anything else you can think off. We also think it may be nice to send a selection of Christmas cards to provide them with a bit of hope at this time of year. We will be placing the pram in reception and we ask that all donations are placed in here and we will store them until our visit. We hope you feel this is a worthwhile cause like us and will support us in providing a little something to these unfortunate people who are not as fortunate as ourselves.
