Nature Watch at Yew Tree Nursing Home

Due to the stunning location of Yew Tree we are surrounded by Woodlands and Farmland. So we get lots of visits from the local wildlife.

The Home has introduced a nature watch within the grounds and surrounding areas. Within the nature watch we have built a wildlife pond, fitted bird boxes to the trees to include owl and kestrel boxes and lots of bird feeders in the gardens. In areas not assessable to residents we have introduced wildlife trail cameras to see who visits in these areas and we have attached a few videos of the wildlife we have caught so far.

September 2019 Newsletter

Welcome to your September gazette we are sorry we missed August but we have been very busy in the office and the month just flew by.

We held our annual garden party in July and although the weather wasn’t kind at the beginning of the event by the end of the day the sun was shining and the children (and yes I mean myself, Stephanie, Teresa and Sarah included in this) enjoyed the water activities, although my first dunking in the pool did come as a surprise thanks to Sarah and Stephanie throwing me in……..
